What we can help with
This portal publishes guides and information about beach safety, lifeguarding practices, and staying safe in coastal environments. We respond to:
- Questions about beach safety, rip currents, flags, weather conditions and lifeguarding
- Corrections to any information published on the site
- Ideas for new guides or topics you would like us to cover
- Technical issues with the site or broken links
Our inbox is checked Monday to Friday. Weekend messages are picked up the following Monday.
What we cannot help with
Beach Lifeguards is an information portal. We do not provide personal safety advice for your specific circumstances, operate lifeguard services, or run training programmes. For professional lifeguard training, contact a RLSS UK or Surf Life Saving GB accredited centre. For immediate help at a beach, speak to on-duty lifeguards or call 999 in an emergency.
We do not handle bookings, tickets, memberships or commercial enquiries. Any message asking us to promote a product or service will not receive a reply.
Response times
Most messages receive a reply within two working days. Complex questions that require research may take longer. If you have not heard from us after five working days, check your spam folder or send a follow-up message.
